Shopify Bundles
A guide to creating and managing bundles using the AccelPay Shopify app
Bundles Feature - User Guide
What are Bundles?
Bundles allow you to group multiple product variants together into a single package that customers can purchase. This feature helps you create product combinations, offer value deals, and increase your average order value.
Key Benefits:
- Create fixed product combinations (e.g., "Starter Kit" with multiple items)
- Set specific quantities for each item in the bundle
- Maintain inventory control at the individual variant level
- Increase sales through strategic product groupings
How Bundles Work
Shopify's platform provides two built-in approaches to bundling. There are also alternative apps that manage bundles outside of Shopify's platform. These alternative apps may interfere with AccelPay's order ingestion and we do not recommend their use.
Here are Shopify's built-in approaches:
1. variant-level bundles
Select specific variations of your products (like size, color, or style) to put in the bundle. You have precise control over what goes into each bundle.
Example
Drink & T-Shirt Combo
- 1x 750ml Bottle of Tequila
- 1x Large T-Shirt
2. product-level bundles
Select a product and the buyer will select a specific variation. The buyer decides what variations their bundle is composed of.
Example
Drink & T-Shirt Combo
- 1x 750ml Bottle (buyer selects from Tequila or Reposado)
- 1x T-Shirt (buyer selects from Small, Medium, or Large)
Our app is designed to create and manage variant level bundles. If you need product level bundling, then we suggest also installing another bundling app like the one Shopify provides . You can have a mix of product and variant level bundles in your store, so using both our app and the Shopify bundling app should not cause any issues.

Troubleshooting
Common Issues
- Can't see bundle option: Check if your store is eligible for bundle features. Not all Shopify tiers have bundle capabilities. If yours does not, we provide an alternative approach called "Collections" that your account rep can help you set up.
- Product not appearing: Ensure the product exists in Shopify first before creating a bundle
- Changes not saving: Check for error messages.
- Bundle not showing in store: Verify the bundle is properly configured and active
